The St. Croix 40 Winter Ultra is a winter survivalist race through St. Croix State Park near Hinckley, MN, where participants travel roughly 40 miles on foot, ski, or fat bike carrying all essential survival gear through a cold Minnesota night. Participants must also demonstrate survival skills at two checkpoints, including boiling water using their stove kit.
