Steps for Safety 5k & Kid Fun Run

Our inaugural 5K & Kids Fun Run is more than just a race — it’s the beginning of a meaningful community tradition built around awareness, hope, and empowerment during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Join us for an unforgettable day filled with movement, connection, and purpose as runners, walkers, families, and supporters come together for this first-ever experience. Whether you are participating in the 5K, cheering on loved ones, or watching your little ones take part in the Kids Fun Run, this event is designed for all ages and fitness levels. All proceeds will benefit the Barren River Area Safe Space Inc.

Participants can look forward to:

A fun and energetic race atmosphere

Family-friendly activities

Community vendors and local partners

Music, entertainment, and more

Race swag and finisher recognition

Opportunities to support an important cause

This inaugural event is about more than crossing a finish line — it’s about standing together to raise awareness, honor survivors, support victims, and inspire change within our community.

Be part of the very first year of what will become an impactful annual tradition. Every step matters, and every participant helps make a difference.

Registration opens June 1st!
