About This Race
The Dark Sky 50 presents 50 beautiful miles through Pickett State Park and Big South Fork, featuring mostly runnable single/double track with creek crossings, rolling hills, light technical terrain, and landmarks including Hazard Cave, Natural Bridge, Twin Arches, and Gobbler's Knob. Pickett State Park is the first state park in the Southeast certified as a dark sky viewing location by the International Dark-Sky Association.
